Many are already concerned that the National Institutes of Health has recently supported mainly inconsequential research with no clinical impact. Members of Congress should be helped to understand how current NIH policies block almost all innovative, successful, clinically relevant research.

Bring this research to the attention of media reporters and writers for magazines. They are always looking for new subjects that will interest their readers.

Participants in the A-T Family Study remember the substantial research reports describing our new findings and explaining their clinical importance. Many relatives still keep these reports in a file.
